FREMM Project (European Multi-Purpose Frigate)

FREMM project is a partnership between Italy and France MOD and it stands as a new class of multi-purpose frigates.
MEPIT’s involvement in the program dates to its beginning: in 2007, MEPIT signed a business agreement with its partner Avio Aero, which is responsible for the assembly and maintenance of GE LM2500+ gas turbine modules.
The partnership between MEPIT and Avio Aero consists of the production of installation fittings for the turbine module and small parts in support.
At the time being, the partnership reached the production of parts for both the French and Italian Navy tenth module.
As FREMM is a military project, MEPIT is subjected to government quality assurance, which requires testing and inspection at source carried out by both our Customer and Navy representatives.
